■ Design & Concept
Tradition, read again. Tortoiseshell, the pattern that defined the golden age of vintage eyewear, dropped into a sharpened pilot shape. A major piece from PLASTIC BRAIN. Against a line-up built on black, this is amber and dark brown running through tortoiseshell. Putting something organic and classic into an otherwise cold street palette is what gives a fit depth, and the composure that comes with it.
■ Material & Texture
-
Select Tortoise Acetate: High-quality acetate where the pattern falls differently on every single pair. Held up to the light the amber goes translucent, bringing color and intelligence to the face.
-
Earth-Toned Gradient Lenses: Brown gradient lenses chosen to work with the tortoise pattern. Easy against the skin, they cut strong sun while keeping the view soft.
■ Details
-
Classic Double Bridge: A double bridge across the front, the detail that makes a pilot a pilot. Military-derived strength on top of a classic surface.
-
Ergonomic Contoured Temples: Temples curved gently to match the volume of the frame. The hold is solid, and it stays put when you move.
■ Styling Suggestion
-
Vintage Artisan Mix: PERSONSOUL - Mythical Beast Motif Patchwork T-Shirt with it. The craft feel of the patchwork and the classic surface of tortoiseshell answer each other — old and new, worn together.
-
Celestial Earth Tones: PERSONSOUL - Embroidered Blue to White Gradient Denim Jeans below. Bright gradient denim against brown lenses makes a color contrast that lands as refined urban resort.
-
Textured Grunge Contrast: REBEL WAVE - Waxed Napoleon Palace Denim Jacket — the hardness of a waxed finish colliding with the softness of tortoiseshell. Grunge built on material contrast.
