Ghost Scratch Washed Black Jeans

■ Design & Concept

GROUPMAREK makes the passage of time visible and calls it beauty. The point of the pair is the ghost scratch treatment worked from thigh to knee — torn open by a claw, or surfacing out of fog, depending on how you look at it. The abrasion is set asymmetrically, and the fade from deep black into gray carries a quiet kind of madness.

■ Material & Texture

• Deep Washed Black Denim: Heavy denim taken through several wash stages, fading a black with real depth to exactly the right point.

• High-Contrast Whisker Detail: The whiskering around the hips is pitched at a contrast so high each line looks lit from inside, which is what gives it dimension.

• Signature Leather Patch: A vintage-style brown leather patch stamped with the brand logo sits at the back of the waist — a classic note against a black body.

■ Silhouette & Details

• Stack flared Silhouette: An extra-long length cut so the cloth stacks in concertina folds from below the knee to the hem. It builds serious weight at the foot and takes the leg line as long as it goes.

• Cross-Stitch Back Pockets: A strong X-stitch on the back pockets, straight from the brand's identity — the back view says as much as the front.

■ Styling Suggestion

Up top, Black Paneled Sport Jacket puts two different black textures against each other for an urban cyber look. Or run an ARMY Tee underneath and load up on silver jewelry, so the fade in the denim answers the shine of the metal — modern grunge, and it works.
