Iconic Square Sunglasses

■ Design & Concept

Eyewear designed as an independent sculpture rather than a part of the face. An iconic model from PLASTIC BRAIN. A vintage Wellington taken as thick and as square as it will go — the chunky frame. Straight lines and curves cross through it, and rather than erasing the wearer it sharpens the outline and makes it harder to read.

■ Material & Texture

• Ultra-Thick Polished Acetate: Acetate given the thickness of several ordinary frames. Patient hand buffing brings out how deep black can actually go.

• Deep Night Black Lenses: Extremely dark lenses to match the mass of the frame. They shut out the light around you and hand back a view from the shadows.

■ Details

• Geometric Temple Architecture: Wide temples carrying the same thickness straight through from the front. From the side the presence is total; there is no weak angle on it.

• Signature Heavy-Duty Hinges: A solid hinge built for constant opening and closing. It holds that weight steadily and still wears comfortably.

■ Styling Suggestion

• Gothic Tailored Shadow: FOURTH3EX - Star Embossed Lace Up Biker Jacket with it. Against all that jacket detail, a solid block of black at the eyes settles the center of gravity and finishes a properly gothic look.

• Oversized Street Statement: RYE CHASIN - A Salute to Demna Bootleg Hoodie — the only eyewear that can hold its own against that much volume. Inside a loose silhouette it works as the accent that sharpens the face.
