■ Design & Concept
FOURTH3EX takes the formal beauty of military dress into modern knitwear with a Napoleon cardigan.
Five pairs of heavy domed silver buttons, ten in total, run down the front and carry the whole piece with real presence. The ornament that defines a Napoleon jacket is built here through cable knitting rather than print or patchwork, so it stands off the surface. Gothic darkness and aristocratic elegance in one garment.
■ Material & Texture
-
Structured Heavy Knit: A thick, high-density knit. It holds its shape like a jacket while keeping the softness of a cardigan.
-
Detailed Cable Weaving: Complex changes in the knit across the front, sleeves and collar. It's a single color, but the shadow is what makes it read rich.
-
Antique Silver Buttons: Antique-finish metal buttons carved with fine ornament. Each one has the quality of a piece of jewelry against the black.
■ Silhouette & Details
-
Slim Tailored Silhouette: A refined, slightly close cut that follows the line of the body.
-
Double Zip Fastening: A two-way zip at the front. Adjust the opening top and bottom to change the shape or show what's underneath.
-
High Neck Design: Close the collar buttons and it reads far more strictly military.
■ Styling Suggestion
Down below, wax-coated flared denim or acid wash slim pants set the knit's surface against denim shine — neo gothic. Or slip a distressed long sleeve underneath and wear the zip half open: grunge mode.
