VAJAVU | An editorial for cultists, out of Shibuya A next-generation street label born in 2021 from a creative collective in Guangdong, China. Its entire aesthetic is the taking apart and putting back together of military clothing, De-Construction & Re-Assembly, and the results keep landing outside whatever category they were meant to fit. The VAJAVU carried at the DACULT online store pulls military wear open with vintage washes, tool pockets, overdyeing and heavy damage work. The pieces that define it: multi-pocket denim held together with metal rivets and patchwork, and a fake two-piece sweat finished with a bio wash. Floral graphics and camouflage hide inside hard, rugged surfaces, so rough and delicate stop being opposites. It is a Y2K utility aesthetic nobody else is running, made not for everyone but only for the people who actually get it. NOT FOR EVERYONE. The VAJAVU at DACULT is the one answer to that kind of taste.
