■ Design & Concept
FOURTH3EX does what it does best: gothic and street in one pair. The thing to look at is the fake two-piece construction, with the cloth switching at the knee. Above the knee the brand's cross is drawn in studs, and silver eyelets are punched at even intervals to push the hardcore punk read. The ease of a sweatpant with decayed weight layered over it.
■ Material & Texture
-
Heavyweight French Terry: A dense, properly thick loopback sweat. Even at the switch below the knee the silhouette holds its line.
-
Precision Metal Studs: The square studs that draw the cross are chrome with a dull finish. With the eyelets, they give hard visual contrast against a black ground.
-
Durable Hardware: Driven in firmly, so the studs stay put through repeated washing and wear.
■ Silhouette & Details
-
Wide Straight Silhouette: A wide straight silhouette with room throughout. The switch line at the knee breaks the eye and stops the cloth tracing the shape of the leg, so it falls clean.
-
Utility Cargo Pockets: Flap cargo pockets at the sides, adding density to the design and keeping it useful.
-
Elasticized Waist with Drawstring: An elasticated waist with a drawcord, so it stays comfortable to wear.
■ Styling Suggestion
Up top, KISS Metallic Bead Zip Hoodie runs metal shine top and bottom, which is dark glamour. Or tuck in an ARMY Tee and put heavy tactical boots underneath so the mechanics of the pants lead — neo gothic military, also worth doing.
