FOURTH3EX puts nobility and decay in the same garment. The aiguillette of a 19th-century military jacket is rebuilt across the front and sleeves in intricate cording embroidery. Red piping running over a jet-black body pushes it gothic and punk. Taking a traditional military form and dropping it into PU leather, the standard material of the street, is what makes the face of this jacket its own.

■ Material & Texture

• High-Gloss Premium PU Leather: A high-grade PU leather that comes close to real hide and is far easier to look after. The dull shine makes the relief of the cording read harder.

• Intricate Cording Embroidery: The intricate pattern on the front is made by laying thick cord and stitching it down. Nothing printed comes near that density or that lift off the surface.

• Crimson Piping Detail: Crimson lines at the collar, shoulders and cuffs act as the one violent accent on a black body.

■ Silhouette & Details

• Sharp Short-Length Silhouette: A short, sharp, compact silhouette. It runs the leg longer and makes it easy to set against wide bottoms.

• High-Stand Collar: A stand collar that covers the neck high. Zip it and the military read gets stricter; open it and it turns casual.

• Metal Hardware: A heavy metal zip on the front puts modern hardware into all that decorative stitching.
